The magician states that “people are always asking how the trick I do with cards is possible. The answer is quite simple. I train the cards. You see I get them when they are young.” As he says this he opens a beautiful walnut box which contains a miniature Bicycle deck. This always gets a laugh. “Allow me to demonstrate.”

3 members of your audience each freely select any card from the deck. The cards are shuffled back into the deck. The deck is placed back into the box and the lid is closed. The magician states that he will make the first spectators card rise from the box. He tells the first spectator to “concentrate on his card.” Slowly the lid opens on its own, a single card slowly rises and is removed from the box. It is indeed the selected card. This is repeated with spectator number 2. When the magician gets to the third card he says concentrate deeply on your card. The third card slowly rise up but its with its back facing out. The magic says “reverse your thoughts” as the card quickly pops back down into the box and out of sight as the lid closes. “Lets try that again,” he says as the lid opens and the 3rd correct card rises as he takes his well deserved bow.
