This is a highly detailed working replica and has become one of the most collectible magic items ever offered
Each one is painstakingly handcrafted by me when i say painstakingly, just lining up and drilling hole for over 450 screws on each one is a task it self
I’ve spent over 2 years researching articles and hundreds of photographs while creating an exact 1/6 scale accurate replica of Houdini’s original water torture cell
There are over 600 parts in each one in fact there are over 450 screws alone and each takes well over 100 hours for me to make
It’s a signed and numbered limited edition and 25 are available in NovemberÂ
Each replica is 4 1/2 inches wide and 9 3/4 inches tall which is exactly 1/6 size of the original
This is an actual working replica, in other words it contains the secret of Houdini’s escape
Its entirely solid mahogany as was the original
All the custom cast handles, drain plugs, hasp and hinge actually work
All the parts that were plated on the original are plated in nickel just like Houdini’s as there was no chrome back then
I personally recreated the hardware exactly like the original and cast all the parts myself here in my factory
Even the size and configuration of width of the planks on the sides and back match the configuration of the original that was displayed in Niagara Falls
